Gentamicin Injection BP 10% w/v

COMPOSITION:

Gentamicin Sulphate

equivalent to Gentamicin……………………100 mg

Methyl Hydroxybenzoate . …………….0.18% w/v

(as preservative)

Propyl Hydroxybenzoate ……………….0.02% w/v

(as preservative)

Water for Injection …………………………………….q.s.

 

INDICATIONS:

Infections of gastrointestinal tract, respiratory tract, arthritis, poly-arthritis, meningitis, mastitis & metritis caused by Gentamicin sensitive organisms.

 

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION:

Calves, Cattle, Goats and Sheep:

3 to 6 mg per kg b.wt.

Horse:

6.6 mg per kg b.wt.

By intrauterine infusion (mares) Dilute 10 ml of injection in 200 ml of physiological saline

solution or 25 ml in 500 ml saline solution

Administration: For Intramuscular, Subcutaneous & Slow Intravenous administration
